Aloha Shanthi offers a traditional experience of Yoga that has been passed down by the renowned yoga lineage of Guru Swami Sivananda.
Swami Sivananda’s disciple Swami Satchitananda, a master of the science and art of yoga, traveled to America in the 1970’s and brought with him the ancient teachings of the science and spiritual discipline of Yoga.
Ishwari has been initiated into the Sivananda Yoga lineage at Satchitanada Ashram Yogaville since 2013 and has been a devout practitioner of the traditional hatha yoga practice as taught by Sri Swami Satchitanada.
This particular class designed by Sri Swami Satchitananda consists of a holistic integrative experience to the collective body, mind and soul.
The 90-minute session guided by Ishwari includes;
Chanting in Sanskrit language, the language of the original yogis of ancient India.
Netra Viyayam – Eye excercises
Dasi Chalana – Joint churning/warm up
Surya namaskar – Sun salutation
Yoga Asana – Traditional yogic postures
Pranayama – Breathwork
Yoga Nidra – deep relaxation also known as yogic sleep
